What exactly are enfold gift wraps?
We make high quality resusable gift wraps out of sustainable fabrics. They are fully lined and currently come in two sizes and a variety of prints. The organic and seersucker wraps are sewn in Michigan. The upcycled sari gift wraps are sewn by women in India. Presents can now be beautifully wrapped simply using the attached ties. No other wrapping supplies are necessary. They also make great gifts themselves.
What is GOTS organic cotton?
GOTS stands for Global Organic Textile Standard and is the most stringent organic certification available. What this means is that from seed to store, best sustainability practices are adhered to. Simply it is a way to ensure that the cotton was traded ethically and grown without the use of pesticides. For more information, visit the GOTS site. We use organic cotton for our original line of gift wraps.
What is upcycled?
Upcycling is when a something is no longer being used for it's intended purpose, but it has been given a new purpose - or some say, has been repurposed. For our gift wraps that could mean reclaimed garments or fabrics, or it could mean left over fabrics from the cutting floor. We don't see a point in letting beauty go to waste when it could be wrapped around a present, bringing joy to the gift giver and receiver!
Sometimes, the upcycled fabric needs to be patched - we think this adds character, plus it allows for greater utilization of reclaimed materials.
What items can be wrapped in each size?
The medium wraps are perfect for ipads, kindles, many digital camera boxes, gps units, and amazon.com a0 and a1 sized boxes. The large size wraps were designed to fit department store shirt boxes, blu ray players and ultra books.
Could you tell me if my gift will fit?

How do I wrap a present with my enfold gift wrap? Is it difficult?
Wrapping is so easy, it's fun. Check out the video below or the Videos page of our site. There's no hunting for tape. No more clearing off the kitchen table to roll out the paper. No searching for ribbon or raffia. Instructions are included in each order.
Isn't your product a little expensive for gift wrap?
At face value, maybe, but let's dig a little deeper. If a family of four uses our medium gift wrap for each birthday, that brings the cost down to $4 in one year. Plus there are other holidays and celebrations. It doesn't take long for the per use price to be less than a gift bag and in a few years, cheaper than paper.
Plus, fabric doesn't come cheap, and our gift wraps use quite a bit of it. They are fully lined so your gift remains a secret until it's opened and the built in ties make it so you don't need any other wrapping materials - no ribbon, no tape, no paper cuts. It's also designed and made in the United States. We love being a part of a resurgence in US made goods and services. Organic fabric and US labor laws ensure better worker treatment, something we think is valuable and worth paying extra for. Then there's your time. It is estimated that the average American spends 3 hours wrapping presents each holiday season. Using enfold gives you that time back. If that wasn't enough, there's the environmental impact of traditional gift wrap. It comes down to people and planet. We value you and your time, artists and laborers, and the planet. So maybe it's traditional wrapping that is expensive?
Does using reusable gift wrap really cut down on waste?
If each family in the US used just two fewer feet of ribbon, 43,000 miles of ribbon would be saved, enough to tie a bow around the entire planet over 1.5 times. If every American family wrapped just 3 presents in reusable materials, it would save enough paper to cover 45,000 football fields. (http://bgm.stanford.edu/pssi_faq_holiday_waste) That’s more than enough to cover the entire cities of Boston, San Francisco or St. Louis in wrapping paper.
According to the Clean Air Council, "in the US, an additional 5 million tons of waste is generated during the holidays. Four million tons of this is wrapping paper and shopping bags." If we assume that half of the four million is wrapping paper then we have an estimated two million tons of wrapping paper used over the holidays each year in the US alone. Assuming 15 trees per ton of wrapping paper, this amounts to 30 million trees cut down just to wrap our gifts! Each year! So yes - using reusable gift wrap really will cut down on waste!
Can I wash my enfold gift wrap?
Yes you can! enfold gift wraps are 100% cotton and can be washed in cold water with the rest of your clothes. We recommend using a gentle cycle and/or a delicates bag so that the ties don't get tangled on other things and hanging to air dry. If you must, we recommend ironing on a lower setting with the print side down. To maintain the texture of the seersucker, try steaming or ironing lightly, with a quick pass over the fabric.
